Dumpling Sausage Roll
What’s not to like? Dumplings? Gooood! Sausage rolls? Goooood! Dim Sims? Gooood!
RECIPE
Feeds 2-4
250g Plain chicken sausages
250g Plain pork sausages
3tbs Emerald Scallion Ginger oil
2tsp Sesame oil
Pinch of salt
750g (2 pkts) Careme puff pastry
1 whole egg or 50ml whole milk (for glazing)
INSTRUCTIONS
To make the filling, remove sausage casings and mix the sausage mince with emerald, sesame oil and a pinch of salt
lay out the puff pastry and cut x 12 discs using a 12cm ring mould
place a heap tablespoon of filling onto each puff pastry disc, lightly brush the edge with a bit of water and pleat into a dumpling shape
once all the dumplings are shaped, brush with egg wash or milk and sprinkle with sesame seeds
air fry @180c or bake in convection oven @200c for 20mins until pastry is golden brown
serve with ketchup and scarlet
